The Tigers opened the season by sweeping the White Sox after earning a 3-2 victory in the series finale at Guaranteed Rate Field.
Tyler Holton earned the win after striking out all four batters he faced during an inning and a third of relief. Kerry Carpenter and Jake Rogers both slugged their first home runs of the season with a solo shot. Detroit is now 3-and-0.
Steven Wilson was charged with the loss after allowing one run on one hit over two-thirds of an inning of relief. Korey Lee and Paul DeJong each went deep with a solo home run. Chicago is now 0-and-3.
The White Sox are home Monday against Atlanta.
