BYRON - A Rockford man is facing a number of drug charges after a traffic stop in Byron on Thursday. Around 2:20 PM the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office stopped 54-year-old Daniel Walters for a number of alleged traffic citations. During the investigation, Deputies added charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance - Crack Cocaine, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was taken to the Ogle County Jail, where he was given a notice to appear. Due to a reported outstanding warrant from Winnebago County, he remains in custody.
