ROCHELLE - The City of Rochelle will begin active enforcement of parking ordinance violations to clear the neighborhoods of abandoned autos. The Rochelle Police Department stated on Facebook that any offending vehicles will be tagged with a 7-day notice to correct the concern. They remind residents that the top reasons you could face a citation include vehicles parked on the roadway with no visible license plate, parking in a no parking zone, vehicles that haven’t moved in 7 days, inoperable vehicles, or those parked blocking a sidewalk or a driveway. Vehicles left in high-traffic areas that pose a safety risk could be tagged with a 24-hour removal notice.
