Earth Day Tree Planting Event to be Held At Museum

ROCHELLE - The Flagg Township Museum will host a tree planting event in honor of Earth Day.  The museum lost a tree on the west side of the building in 2023 and Girl Scouts from Troop 409 along with other Girl Scouts from Southern Ogle Service Unit will be planting a new tree on Tuesday at 5:30 PM. Hidden Timber Gardens will be on hand for the planting of the white oak, which was chosen due to it being the state tree of Illinois.  A small ceremony will be held for the planting along with refreshments.
