The DeKalb Police Department say they were called on February 5th to the 100 Block of South 2nd Street for a fight and purported gunfire. One man was taken to an area hospital after being shot with a handgun after what police described was an isolated incident. Authorities say last week they took 24-year-old Christian Rios of DeKalb into custody and charged him with Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by a Street Gang Member, Aggravated Battery, Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon, and Mob Action. Also charged with Aggravated Battery and Mob Action were 27-year old Christian Contreres and 23-year-old Anthony Lara, both of DeKalb. Rios is being held at the DeKalb County Jail.
