Islanders skate past the Blackhawks 2-1

The New York Islanders scored 2 goals in the 3rd period on their way to a 2-1 win Tuesday night over the Chicago Blackhawks.

Bo Horvat and Simon Holmstrom scored the goals for the Islanders. Ilya Sorokin had 18 saves.

The Blackhawks came into the game winning 3 out of their last 4 games. Jason Dickinson had the only goal for Chicago on an assist from rookie Connor Bedard.

The Blackhawks return to the ice Saturday afternoon at the United Center against the Stars.
