ROCKFORD - A Winnebago County Board member is in legal trouble. John Sweeney was arrested January 4th after being accused of falling asleep in a Rockford Taco Bell drive-thru while intoxicated. Authorities say he told police he had a firearm in his vehicle, but refused to take a breathalyzer test twice. Sweeney was cited for driving under the influence and carrying a gun while intoxicated.
