Go Fund Me Raises Nearly $200,000 for Children of Deputy Musil

SYCAMORE - A Go Fund Me has raised nearly $200,000 for the children and family of a Dekalb County Sheriff’s Deputy who was killed in a crash last week. Deputy Christina Musil died after her patrol vehicle was struck from behind by a commercial truck while parked on the shoulder of Illinois 23 near Perry Road last Thursday night. She left behind three children, a 12, 11, and 5-year-old. The online fundraiser, titled “Support for the Children of Deputy Christina Musil”, explains the contributions will help provide for the children’s immediate needs and future education. Services will be held Thursday for Musil at the NIU Convocation Center.
