POLO - The City of Polo on Monday night announced the pool has been sandblasted. City employees used the sewer vac truck to remove the sand blasting material to ease the cleanup. The labor cost the city $19,500, which was under the bid amount of $20,000. Public Works Director Kendall Kyker said he believed the pool was last sandblasted in the late 60’s and was more than overdue for repair and repaint. In other pool news, the deadline for lifeguard applications will be Friday. Elizabeth Stamm will be returning as Pool manager for this summer.
